Why Join NWWT

Meetings - First Thursday of the month

  • Meeting Location - Multnomah Arts Center – a great location (7688 SW Capitol Hwy, Portland, OR 97219) and excellent venue with good parking, plenty of space for storage and easy access for East and West side members.  Not only is it a great place for our monthly meetings, we now have a nice place for demos and classes at the same facility.
  • Nationally Known Artists – We bring in well know woodturners.  Our first meeting of the year had Derek Weidman who gave an impressive demo making a duck on the lathe
  • Demos at monthly meeting – We are lining up monthly demos for the year.  Generally a DVD of the demo is available at the next meeting for $3 to add to your personal library.
  • Show & Tell – bring your items to each meeting for critique and admiration by all.  Get advice and feedback
  • Monthly Challenge – win a prize for best submission for the monthly challenge

  • "Refine Your Skills" Classes - This is a new series of classes aimed at improving your skills.  Check the "Events" page for currently planned classes.

  • Incredible Library of Both Books and DVDs – New items continually added.  Best club library in the Pacific NW.
  • Excellent Monthly Newsletter – Has the latest news about upcoming seminars.  Includes good articles, pictures of your show and tell items, and woodturning tips.   Check past newsletters under the "Newsletter" page.

  • NWWT Store – Another benefit that can easily pay for your membership dues. Many new items recently added.  We buy in bulk and pass the savings on to you resulting in tremendous savings.
