What

Open Shop is directed toward the new turner but all are welcome.  It is staffed by senior members to help with sharpening, turning, project advice, or you can just come and socialize with other turners. There are seven lathes available for use.  Bring your project, your own tools and wood or buy wood at the shop.

Store

The club store is open for most of our supplies and our wood harvesting team keeps our wood inventory well stocked.

10:00 Demo

We generally have a short demo at 10:00 on something interesting.  Often these will be recorded on our YouTube channel for later review.

Sharpen Your Tools

We have four sharpening stations, and our experts are there to help you perfect your sharpening technique. There is no more important topic for the new turner (or the old ones for that matter) than sharpening.

Register

Registration guarantees your use of a lathe, and others can use one when one becomes available however YOU DO NOT NEED TO REGISTER FOR OPEN SHOP if you just want to socialize, watch the demo or buy supplies.

Open Shop is free, but the rental Portable Rest Room and our coffee and doughnuts cost money.  A donation will help defray expenses and are greatly appreciated.
