  • Students must be members of NWWT
  • Proof of vaccination is required
  • Class will be limited to 6 students (1 per Lathe)
  • Instructors are experienced NWWT members
  • Wood for the class will be provided
  • Students bring their own tools
  • Students bring their own lunch
  • Students bring their own PPE (face shields, dust protection)
  • Coffee and snacks will be provided
  • COVID Masks are required at all times
  • If you have any COVID related symptoms , please do not register or if you have symptoms on the day of the class, please let us know and a full refund will be sent.

The class will start with sharpening the tools required for the class.

We will have two sharpening stations and instructors to help you get started right.


In this class you will learn basic bead and-cove cutting skills used in making tool handles, pepper grinders, eggs, spheres, bottle stoppers, rolling pins, finials that decorate  box lids, Christmas ornaments, stairway railing parts, chair and table legs, and much more.

Our expert Instructors and helpers will show you how to make simple toys and useful items efficiently and safely in this one-day class. Christmas is just around the corner, and there is no better gift than handmade gifts.  You will walk away with a finished project.

All wood will be supplied.
