Round, round, round - everything is round on the lathe - BORING!
How about we think outside the box - a square box that is. Turning square is not difficult - thinking of what to make square on a lathe is. Flatwork is square and easy to do, so why do it on a lathe - I don't really know but turning square is fun. Unfortunately, you may end up with a bunch of square useless things.
