What is it - In an effort to raise awareness and thank America’s Veterans, Rockler Woodworking & Hardware will be holding a special one-day event in all retail locations on November 9th, 2019.  This is the second year Rockler has held this event. Turning participants are charged a $10 fee with proceeds being donated to National Veterans Foundation. Last year there were just under 550 participated.

For Details on the event click on FY2020 Vets Day.

NWWT's Role - NWWT has offered to provide help at this AAW supported national event.  What is needed is 1 or 2 people for each of the 4 classes.  Rockler will have 4 lathes running.  Your job is to explain or demonstrate the basics of making a pen and then assist the students in making a pen.

Requirements – You do not have to be a full time pen turner but do need to have made a few pens and understand the process and are willing to work with a novice turner.

    Class length: 2 HRS – Classes at 9:30AM, 11:30AM, 1:30PM, & 3:30PM

Please respond to me ASAP with your willingness to help and preferred times.  You can sign up for multiple times if you want.   Plan to arrive 30 minutes before your shift.
